HOW ANIMATED OR CARTOON MOVIES ARE MADE: ANIMATION MOVIE PIPELINE

Hey, Here is the introduction of how an animated or Cartoon Movie was made. This article is for those who want to get into the movie or animation field.

HERE, We start we can just simply divide this hug entire process of "FILM PRODUCTION" in the substeps. Which are the following :

1. PRE-Production
2. Production 
3. POST-Production

1. PRE-Production:

I would try to describe the following substeps in the easiest way I can.
Here, we go,

For the First, we talk about the PRE- Production process where from the Prefix of our heading 'PRE' we can understand this process will be related to the things which have to be done before the Production or we can simply say its a preparation for making an animated movie.

These process includes the following substeps to get ready for the further steps :

1. STORY or CONCEPT DESIGN:

                                                          At the very first the idea or mood-set (or known as genres) of the story is decided which define the vision of what film should tell the audience. This idea is first put into words, which is called a script. Next comes the concept design stage where the characters or backgrounds in the scripts are made into designs.

2. STORYBOARDING: Here, the SCRIPT was taken to build any rough visuals which help to visualize the idea of the director. The storyboard focuses on the story, action, and camera angles to creates a relation between the written scripts and the visualization of the film. The storyboard can be compared to comic without the speech bubbles.

AND NOW, the movie is ready for the production.

PRODUCTION: 

                                            The process of producing a film varies on the type of film 2D Animated film goes with a different track and 3D Film has a different track to follow along. 

                      The 3D animated movie goes to so many sub-steps. I like to cover them in a short way that might help you to understand better. So, Here is the list of process or steps that a 3D movie goes through,

1. 3D Modeling
2. Texturing and shading
3. Rigging
4. Animation
5. Lighting
6. Dynamic Effects
7. Rendering

POST-PRODUCTION:

                                                          This is the finalization of a movie all the error has been should after getting all the raw movie from the production to cut scenes together, inserting transitional effects, working with voice and sound actors and dubbing to name just a few of the many post-production tasks. And mainly the final compositing was done in this part including editing, color correction, Grading, etc to launch the movie worldwide.
